Todays Flea Market find..

Well, no silver this week but I got a Remington Wingmaster 870 shotgun with a 30 ribbed barrel. Just a couple of scuffmarks, but nothing I cant fix. The picture doesnt show it, but it has a beautiful burl fore stock. It was made in 1979. Before sun up, I saw the old man taking it out of his truck. Before it hit his table I bought it for $150. A good buy!!!

I have that identical shotgun, probably made around the same time as yours (late 70's), fine gun, and a hell of a price!
What flea market (exactly) do you go to?
Ever find any decent deals on 90%?

30" barrel, that will be a fine waterfowl shotgun! Do 870's of that vintage take 3" shells?

That's funny HM I have the same shotgun also, thought I paid $175.00 for it new back around 1979...I could be wrong about the price......and maybe the date.....now I'm not even sure if I have one. The 70s took alot outta me. LOL

Wow! What a great deal on that real deal! Did you ask if he had any other sporting goods he was ready to part with?
Take care,

First to Highwayman, It's just an average small town flea market where I live. They're all the same. The trick is you have to be the first person there! And yes I find silver there regularly.
MOD1, Yes I always ask. He didn't have any more at this time but I feel that when next months bills come due he may be back.
The Barrel on this shotgun is too long for my usage so out comes the hacksaw! Just kidding, I'd never cut a barrel, but I am going to change it to the 18.5 police barrel and add an extended tube. The long barrel will reside in my safe, just in case I want a Duck dinner.

I was guessing mtnman made the Hillsville , VA annual labor day weekend fleamarket. There are quite a few guns to be had there. Nice score for your local fleamarket.
